Mr Steel's was a OneWorld
Technical Launch Manager for the JD Edwards European Division (SUMAH).
In that role, he helped architect the JD Edwards OneWorld Product,
educating both future JD Edwards OneWorld consultants and customers who were
trying to understand how to implement the new software across Europe and Asia.
During his tenure at JD
Edwards, he helped manage a number of high profile Global projects and
implementations. In 1997, Mr Steel moved to
Denver, Colorado to help
create the Worldwide Advanced Technology group in JD Edwards Corporate office a group that spearheaded
how implementations were to be performed, and methodologies that customers
used to create successful installations of the ERP software.
Mr Steel worked closely
with customers to advocate their needs and requirements back to Development,
and was a founder member of a team that created the JD Edwards Implementation
Approach methodology - adopted by the majority of customers and partners as a
standard method to correctly implement OneWorld and JD Edwards products.
Mr Steel also founded the
Scalability Group - a department that provided Test Benchmarks to show how
OneWorld scalability and stability could be measured at customer sites.
His role was both project manager and architect in this team - and many
successful whitepapers and benchmarks were published.
In 2001, Mr Steel returned as an
independent OneWorld Consultant and Technical Architect. He specializes
in Upgrades as well as Technical Troubleshooting and providing advice on
complex architectures from JD Edwards, and has managed several major Projects
at various client sites across the US. Many of these projects were large
in size - often in excess of 1000 concurrent users, and always with
significant transactions.
Mr Steel has experience both with the Toolset
and the Business Applications as well - being able to create complex business
requirements and often being able to provide solutions with detail to
developers.
With more than
15 years of experience in Networking, Small and Mid-size systems, Enterprise
Database systems and ERP systems, he is well adapted to help create strategic
direction for your ERP Implementation.
Mr Steel holds
an MSC in Enterprise Network Management from Sheffield Hallam University in
the UK.
